Dark Chocolate Cayenne Armageddon Cupcakes with Cayenne Cream Cheese Frosting
The Mayan Armageddon has come and gone without a single hitch or hiccup and life has moved on. So what does a girl do when faced with the end of the world? Make cupcakes, of course. Duh.
Last night, I decided on the eve of mass destruction to celebrate the potential carnage with spicy south of the border flavors and began making an experimental batch of Dark Chocolate Cayenne Cupcakes with Cayenne Cream Cheese frosting. I piped frosting in all the glorious colors of hell, fireballs, and brimstone. I added asteroid-like candies. I delivered them to all the friends who, like me, had survived the end of days. All in all, a good day in the kitchen…
These little nuggets of goodness feature all the good flavors from south of the border: dark chocolate, cinnamon, and spicy cayenne pepper.
