GRAHAM NUT BARS RECIPE
The concept of old school carries me back to that magical moment, as a child, in the comfort of my grandmother’s kitchen. A place where I could find her every morning, sitting at the kitchen table, sipping her Red Rose Tea, nibbling at her Freihofer’s Light Toast with oleo. That kitchen exemplifies old school wuuusaa.
My grandmother wasn’t the grandest of cooks, but she could bake. Her reputation was most certainly gained through her rotten banana Banana Bread & softball size meatballs. Here’s a recipe that brings me back to that place in time…may it trigger a little childhood wuuusaa in you too…

- Graham Crackers
- 1/2 lb. Butter
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Walnuts
Ingredients

- Break graham crackers into quarters & fill a cookie sheet, placing them close together.
- Melt butter & sugar together; bring to a hard boil. Let mixture rise to the top, stirring constantly. Boil for two minutes.
- Remove mixture from heat & immediately pour over graham crackers. Sprinkle with walnuts.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, no longer. Remove from pan right away & place on cool racks.
