  1. Mix Water and Sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Sprinkle yeast on top and let set for about 10 minutes or until it appears foamy.
  3. Mix in 3 Cups of flour, sour cream and table salt
  4. Knead in the remaining flour, 1/4 a cup at a time, either by hand or by hook, whichever you are using.
  5. Place dough ball in a well greased bowl. Turn to coat.
  6. Cover and let rise at room temperature until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
  7. Punch dough down and shape into 2 sticks
  8. Let your sticks rise a second time on a baking sheet lightly sprinkled with cornmeal until doubled in volume again
  9. "Slash" loaves with a serrated or very sharp knife
  10. Place in oven preheated to 450f for 20-25 minutes.
