Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Warm Water no more than 118 degrees F
- 3 1/2 - 4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 pkg Active Yeast (or 2 1/4 tsp)
- 2 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Sour Cream
- 2 tsp Table Salt
- Corn Meal for sprinkling

Instructions
- Mix Water and Sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
- Sprinkle yeast on top and let set for about 10 minutes or until it appears foamy.
- Mix in 3 Cups of flour, sour cream and table salt
- Knead in the remaining flour, 1/4 a cup at a time, either by hand or by hook, whichever you are using.
- Place dough ball in a well greased bowl. Turn to coat.
- Cover and let rise at room temperature until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
- Punch dough down and shape into 2 sticks
- Let your sticks rise a second time on a baking sheet lightly sprinkled with cornmeal until doubled in volume again
- "Slash" loaves with a serrated or very sharp knife
- Place in oven preheated to 450f for 20-25 minutes.
